The Joffrey’s in Animal Kingdom is one of our go-to stops for caffeine while we are in this park, and Animal Kingdom is one of our favorite parks. Sometimes that will be in the form of coffee, but usually we are getting cups of hot or iced tea here. We used to be pretty impressed with the options for straight, hot tea here, that is, just tea loose leaf tea with nothing added to it. However, lately (as of October 2020) this location has decreased its tea offerings.

As recently as April of 2020, the Anandapur Tea Company (the Joffrey’s themed kiosk) had available a decent sized tea list including unique and delicious teas such as Blackberry Jasmine, White Ambrosia, and Green Dragon Oolong – an actual high quality rolled oolong available at Disney! However, when we visited later, in October, these impressive teas were all gone from the menu, along with Raspberry Rose fruit tea.

Gone is the delicious Green Dragon Oolong, which is a real score for a tea offering even in an independent tea shop, much less to find it at Walt Disney World. The White Ambrosia was a tasty, lightly creamy flavored white tea, which was a go to for us. Currently the Blackberry Jasmine is only available as an iced tea. There are still some solid tea options remaining, but we are not sure how long they will be around either. Our new favorites from what options remain are the Masala Chai spicy black tea and African Celebration rooibos blend.

Unfortunately, the decreasing tea list is not a good sign, and we truly hope they add more teas back, and not go in the direction of other Joffrey’s locations in the parks and cut the list down to 2 or 3 basic choices for hot tea.
