Whether you’re simply trying to warm up after getting caught in a storm or settling in after dinner at an enchanted castle, the classic combination of citrus, black tea, and lavender is always ready to offer a little comfort.

Inspired by perhaps the most iconic tea character of them all, Mrs. Potts herself, this blend has been a long time coming for Trader Nick’s. We wanted the tea to feel every bit as classic and comforting as she is, so we started with a traditional Earl Grey base. To capture her soft, nurturing personality—and give a little nod to the French setting—we blended in aromatic lavender and delicate mallow blossoms.

But Mrs. Potts isn’t all warm hugs and comforting cups of tea. She can be quite sharp and stern when a certain Beast needs reminding how to behave. A little extra lemon adds a bright citrus zing to the blend, balancing those softer florals with just enough bite to keep everyone in line.

The result is a warming citrus black tea with a subtle floral lavender note and a bright, lively finish. It brews on the stronger side, making it equally at home at the breakfast table, alongside afternoon treats, or served with dessert after an unexpectedly magical evening. Because sometimes all it takes to make things feel a little more welcoming is a warm fire, good company, and just a spot of tea.

Steeping Instructions

Use one heaping teaspoon per 8 oz cup of water

Let steep 3-5 minutes in hot water 210° (boiling)
