Description

Le Petite Chef is inspired by Remy’s journey from a country rat with big dreams to a celebrated chef in Paris. While some critics may turn their noses up at a tea this inventive, others will set their ego aside and embrace something bold and new.

We wanted this blend to capture the spirit of Remy’s cooking — comforting and rustic, yet layered with unexpected flavor. At first, we considered making it intensely herbaceous, but the blend needed balance and depth so it could pair beautifully alongside a rich meal rather than overpower it.

The foundation begins with a bold black tea base blended with earthy pu-erh to evoke the warmth of the French countryside. From there, we added a touch of smoky Lapsang Souchong for that extra “lightning zing” Remy first discovered in his culinary adventures. Lemon peel, rosemary, and a dusting of reishi mushroom round out the blend with bright, savory complexity.

The result is an incredibly addictive cup with flavors that pop and dance across the palate. Fans of smoky Earl Grey blends will feel right at home here, but even adventurous newcomers may find themselves surprised. Like Remy himself, this tea is all about taking a chance on unexpected flavor combinations and discovering something magical.
