On a recent trip to the Magic Kingdom, we stopped to have lunch at the Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. This elaborately themed restaurant is situated near the beginning of Adventureland across from the Swiss Family Treehouse. The entrance is understated and you may even miss it if you are not looking for it. We were very pleased to find that they have some tasty tea options from Twinings Tea.

Twinings is an English brand of tea that has been around for a couple hundred of years, so they know a thing or two. For such a large and widely marketed company, these teas are generally of decent quality especially for tea bag grade teas. You can find Twinings in quite a few spots around Walt Disney World, and especially in Epcot Center you can find an entire tea shop in the United Kingdom pavilion, which is basically a Twinings outlet full of teas and tea accessories.

Vegan Curried Vegetable Crew Stew: A favorite of the Crew Stew Crew (especially Stu). Seasonal Vegetables and Pineapple Tofu in a House-made Curry Sauce served with Coconut Rice

Vegan Perkins Thai Noodles: Tofu, Seasonal Vegetables, and Rice Noodles tossed in a Spicy Soy-Chili-Garlic Sauce. A favorite of our friend Pamelia Perkins, Adventurer’s Club President.

During our lunch in the Skipper Canteen Restaurant, we had the Exotic Mango & Ginger Green Tea. We were served with a small teapot of hot water, mug, and sealed Twinings tea packet. On this trip we were given 2 refills along with 2 additional tea bags for each teapot refill. The tea itself was very tasty, strong fruit flavor which was in the forefront, and the ginger taste was nearly drowned out. Although we had this tea served hot, it would also make good iced tea.
Overall we were very pleased with the tea offering at the Skipper Canteen Restaurant and would go there again to probably try a different tea, even though we enjoyed this one.
